On 3rd April, 2018, Research Institute for Environmental Economics and Management (RIEEM) hosted a workshop entitled CVM Working Session & RIEEM Presentation at Waseda University.
The workshop started with opening remark and introduction of RIEEM by the director of RIEEM, Professor Toshi H. Arimura.
Afterwards, Professor Miguel Buñuel at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) introduced UAM and its Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, especially highlighting thier rich variety of departments that covers all area of Economics as well as great monility of students.
Following the introduction of UAM, Professor Miguel Buñuel and Carmel Arguedas talked about their CVM research project entitled “Social Perception of Environmental Responsibility as a New Factor of Divergence between Willingness to Pay and Willingness to Accept”. Presenters and participants actively discussed their study as well as possibility of the joint research among UAM and RIEEM to conduct similar survey at Waseda University.
This workshop was supported by the Organization for University Research Initiatives, Waseda University, Research Institute for Environmental Economics and Management (RIEEM), Waseda University and Waseda Institute of Political Economy (WINPEC). This event was also supported by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and Banco Santander.
